Notes from the road — buses, ferries, hostels and border crossings — from the Baja peninsula through Central America, and across the Atlantic to Spain and Italy.
The Respected Path is a long-form travel journal: one backpack, public transport, and a loose plan that kept changing. It begins at Denver International Airport in January 2024, winds down the Baja peninsula, crosses mainland México into Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama — then jumps the Atlantic for a new chapter in Spain and Italy. Every entry is written from the road, as it happened.
